3/19/05 - Moonrise, Hernandez II

My apologies to Ansel Adams for stealing the title. Tough competition theme (for me) coming up - nightscapes. This is my first candidate. I'm rarely out much after evening twilight - gotta' get my sleep to get up before the sun for the beautiful morning light. This is a multiple exposure - both taken at about 5AM (two different days). The lone house with a light on a foggy morning caught my eye. Moon shots are a dime a dozen, but I chose this one because it fit the scene. Cropped the entire image to a 1:2 ratio to get rid of a bunch of dark uninteresting foreground grass (I'm looking up the fairway on a golf course).

I like this, and thanks for telling that it's a combined photo. Moon photos, however, are not routine....every time I photograph the moon I'm amazed. Good work here.
