1/27/05 - Last Carnation

Ok - this is it for the carnations. I was hoping for soft & sensual curves and found it to be difficult. A camera club acquaintance suggested that flowers with broader petals were needed. Once I get back from a two week trip, I'll give that a try. The weather here is downright ridiculous for a "southern" state - down to 5F tonight; highs today and tomorrow in the low 20s. Two weeks in Florida is looking better & better. A week in Ocala National Forest for some photography sounds great.

I am not a carnation lover but you've shown this in a way that makes it so appealing. It is very sweet and delicate.. very nice composition
