1/23/05 - Snow Scene Revisited

The original shot that I made of this scene - two years ago with my first camera, a 2 MP Olympus 2040Z - is here http://www.pbase.com/ed_k/image/29530750. Last year I tried it again with my then new CP5700. A new year, a new camera - here's the D70 version. I hate to admit it, but the original is still the best. I've found that when I try to improve on a picture that I really like, I can't do better. Maybe that's why I liked the original. I think the perspective of the original is better - due to using a greater zoom that compressed the distances and brought the path's end nearer - wide angle isn't always the way to go, I guess.

I apologize for using a shot from yesterday. Too tied up watching the NFL conference championship games (to say nothing of the sub-zero wind chill - what a wimp!).
