The Egyptian section of the Louvre has a lot of interesting artifacts in showcases, but
the reflection in the glass gets the better of you at times. A polarizer could help remove
the reflections, but then you're dealing with the loss of several stops worth of light and
could easily run into blurring problems due to camera movement. Using a flash, of course,
would be pointless as the flash would simply reflect off the glass (and use of flash is
prohibited, in any case). In this image I de-emphasized the reflection by blurring and
de-saturating the reflection during post-processing. Retouching it completely out of the
image would have been another option.
