Not too many years ago we'd paint out a room or house on a whim. Change a color, redo a theme, whatever the case may have been I'd pretty much without hesitation get it done. Something happened and I can't remember when or where but I now have an aversion to painting at any cost. I hate it. I remember when the rollers going over smooth walls would be calming. Now, I can't stand it...

I am painting tomorrow, with the help and moral support of my good friend. He's the cut man, and I follow behind rolling on new paint in his wake of perfect lines and cut into to the ceiling and window frames. He's got talent where I am a bull in a china shop. Yeah- I remember when I actually enjoyed this. Now, it is the ultimate chore.
