These cubs were on a trail next to the Mendenhall Glacier. There was a Forest Service guide just ahead of me and we waited while they went through the fence and down with their mom the sow below us. My puppy Soama, was with me on a leash and when I glanced down at her she was flattened into the walkway. She didn't make a sound while the bear were in sight.
