On a main road not far from the Atatürk Evi (house) there as a curious statue. I would appreciate it if anybody can explain. It was situated in such a way that it could be interpreted as parents/teachers defending their children against the onslaught of traffic.
However, it was the şehit öğretmen anıtı or the monument to the memory of teachers that fell (protecting children, I suppose).
