Eceabat is a small place East of Kilit Bahir (which itself is opposite Çanakkale on the European side of the straits). Its the first practical harbour to cross to and from Istanbul or Edirne, given the size of the ferries and their frequency of departure. This is on such a ferry, about to depart for Çanakkale, in the place where they serve tea and other refreshments.
