The cenotaph sarcophagus of Çelebi Sultan Mehmet I, standing on a platform.
The (yellow) calligraphic inscription on the tiles is four sentences long, sings the praise of the sultan, names his father and grandfather and gives the date of his death (May 1421).
The tiles that adorn the platform of the royal catafalque display a row of small mihrabs, filled with stylised poppies and lotus flowers. These tiles were made in Kütahya, and placed during a later restoration in the 19th or 20th century.
The Yeşil Türbe (or some part of it) was repaired numerous times: 1623, 1645, 1684, 1768, 1770, 1775, 1818, 1825, 1863, 1907, 1941, 1943-45 and 2004.
