Bursa May 2014 7493.jpg

view map

On the picture: The mosque as seen from the southeast. On the left: the ‘mihrab’ area; on the right: the southeastern aisle of the congregation hall.
This shot reveals what is meant by a ‘reverse T’ floor plan (which is characteristic to so-called Bursa-type mosques): if you approach from behind (this is: from the south), the ground plan shows a normal ‘ T ‘. If you look to the mosque’s facade (on the north side) that T-shape ground plan is upside down (= reverse).
