Reconstruction of the burial gifts found in the sarcophagus of ‘Tümülüs A’, a (probably royal) Thrakian tomb near Vize (province Kırklareli, Eastern Thrace). It was excavated in 1938, and found untouched. Dated: around 30-45 AD.
Amongst these gifts: a ceremonial helmet with facial mask (bronze, partly silver-plate), golden jewelry, silver table-ware, small golden leaves that once adorned a purple coat, and iron weapons.

Correspondent: J.M.Criel, Antwerpen.
