The street running at a right angle (90°) from the western end of the Decumanus Maximus to the western city gate, seen from within the city. Note that this gate was not situated at the western end of the Decumanus Maximus, but some 80 m to the south of it.
The Decumanus Maximus is the main east-west-oriented road of a roman city or military camp.
