Statuette of a priest. Egyptian, 558-534 B.C. Bronze, 38 cm height.
Excavated in the Terrace Houses of Ephesus.
It was not uncommon for rich Roman citizens, to have a collection of antiquities (especially of Greek or Egyptian origine) that they used to decorate their homes.
