Handheld for all images in good light. It balances well on a D200/D300, so with good technique sharp shots are possible from about 1/80s and up. Normally no extension tubes necessary, and I would rather use them with primes such as a 60 or 105. I occasionally use the 6T diopter, but not on a field trip where the added weight would be a hassle. For flowers, wind movement is a bigger problem than camera shake, and one which isn't solved by a tripod.

Hello,

On most of your pictures that you took with this lens did you use a tripod or did you hand hold the camera? Also did you us the pk13 ring for some of your shots?
