The Gloucester Arms is a quiet place a few blocks from the hotel - quiet except for the night I was there watching Manchester vs. Roma. It was a complete annihiliation of the Italian team and the pub got increasingly rowdy as the night went on. Not being a big beer drinker, I asked what I could substitute for a pint of ale - and was directed toward a drink called Snakebite. Strongbow (hard cider), lager and blackcurrant cordial. Yes. Yes, it definitely does bite. But in a way that makes you say 'bite me again.'
