February 3

Black Jewel brand popcorn. I spotted this in the organic foods section of a new grocery store. My first thought wasn't that I *had* to know how it tasted, but that it could make a nice shot for the B&W challenge. The bonus is that it tasted pretty good too.

Black Jewel - "ebony black kernels of corn that pop up snowy white"

other sizes: small medium large auto

LOL - I wonder how much we all spend on 'stuff that would look good for PAD'?

The DOF and slight grain really make the kernels stand out against the black.

I've got the real ones in my cabinet.
They'll work in the micro too.

Too funny. I was driving down the road today and thinking the same thing---"Oooo...that would look good in b&w!"

You were right, btw...it did make a nice b&w shot.

I like it because it is hullless and the butered version tastes pretty good although the low sodium one is rather bland..

Looks great in B&W. I think I'll have to go make some myself now...
