Avery February 16

They began the process of tearing down the house today. Avery's mood is 180 degrees from what it was on Monday. He said he is grateful for what he has and added that friends and being alive are more important than 'having so many things that you forget about just breathing and enjoying the kindness of others.' I went to the house today to take photos of it as it came down. Avery wasn't there when I arrived, but showed up about 15 minutes later carrying a box of donated disposable cameras. Here he is taking a picture of me .. taking a picture of him .. taking a picture of me.

I'll post the rest of the photos tomorrow in their own gallery - the story of the 'closing of the sanctuary'.

He's looking really cheerful and positive despite all he is going through, and you have captured this well. Wonder what his photo of you looks like :)

The human spirit can be amazing. We are capable of such nobility and at the same time such treachery, where does it all come from.

I really like his good spirits inspite of what is taking place in his life currently. I think what is nice though that others are willing to provide for him and therefore he must be well liked in the community. I hope that he lives comfortable enough in his tent and that maybe some other oppertunities will arise from the downfall of his house.
