The Lincoln Park Zoo, in Chicago. And Jim Hurlburt always looked terrified...

Yep...that's how I remember it too...Jim was always in danger up to his neck, while Merlin remained a safe distance away.

The national news, then Lassie, then The Wonderful World of Disney, then Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom. I can't believe I can still remember that. I probably got put to bed after that!

I loved this show. Especially when Marlin would make a statement such as "Jim will wrestle the alligator while I wait back at camp." or Marlin after grabbing a Gila Monster and placing it in a bag stated, "Usually I do not handle poisonous reptiles with my bare hands but this is an exception." Great Sunday nights with this guy.

Jim Fowler was Marlon's first co-host. At the time Jim was also associated with the Sanford, FL zoo. Jim is currently 76 years old and still involved in ecological issues.

Yes, he was the host. I remember watching that show with my family every Sunday. Wasn't his sidekick's name Jim?

Was he the host of 'Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom' on Sunday nights?
