Doris was the civil service secretary to the Chief of the Reserve Division (CDR K. R. Murphy), and the Assistant Chief (LCDR Snyder) at the time and a great lady to work with. We both loved Diana Ross's "Touch Me in the Morning", a number one hit in the summer of 1973 when I was doing 3 months special active duty at district. At the time the Seventh Coast Guard District was located at the Federal Building at 51 S. W. 1st Avenue, Miami, FL.
