Mr. Medeiros was one of the finest supervisors I have ever worked for as a military member or as a civilian. I first met him in Baltimore in 1967 when he was an intelligence agent investigating the USCGC EAGLE's collision with a freighter in the fog in Baltimore harbor. I typed a lot of the investigation facts and testimonies from transcripts provided to me by Mr. Medeiros. I thoroughly enjoyed performing three months active duty as a reservist in the Reserve Division of the Seventh Coast Guard District (r) in the summer of 1973. He and I and sometimes the XO of the division, LCDR Snyder, had many lunches together in downtown Miami during our lunch hours.
