He arrived early on Sunday morning from Havana on a private charter aircraft and after meetings with Fidel Castro to discuss the end of the US embargo against Cuba. He was apprehensive that I was from the press and that his photo would be all over the papers.
The day when Jack Kennedy was killed--Castro was having lunch with Jack's personal envoy--discussing the possible lifting of that stupid embargo. Castro would have been long gone had we lifted it--because Capitalism is the number one destroyer of Communism.
