Thank you to Greg Hattaway for contributing this great old image that he took of the football pep rally on the roof just west of Hialeah High's cafeteria. I was at that pep rally and it was the only pep rally held at that location that I know of in the three years that I went to Hialeah High. The Hialeah High Class of 1965's football team was excellent that year and after the regular season we went to Tampa for the 3rd Annual Meninak Charity Bowl where the Thoroughbreds beat the Plant High Panthers 13-0. A large group of us went on charter buses up to Tampa to watch the game and I still have my receipt for $5 dated 12/2/64 and signed by Nancy Ann Bridges.
