Only a couple of aircraft remain three months after Pan Am ceased operations on December 4, 1991. They erected a rolling fence gate at the entrance to the base to keep aircraft parts thieves off the base since there were only a skeleton crew of employees left on the base disposing of assets and keeping an eye on things.
