Thank you to Robert M. Baker for contributing this great old image. Robert's dad, Ron Baker, was a mini stock car racer back in the 1960's and this image is from his collection of photos and papers.

Robert says: "I know the two Volkswagens are (on the left, #7) my Dad, Ron Baker, and, second from the right is Chops Sweeting (#9). Dad recalled for me that the driver of the #99 was Clark Little. Dad said that Chops was a pretty aggressive driver, but Dad admitted that he was too."

my name is michael balogh. i got involved w racing minis in '67, and was there every saturday. my cousin gary balough went up the the divisions to late model mods, champ several years, went to tri state when jeff bodine went onto winston cup, gary eventually went into cup racing for jr johnson. bobby and donnie allison, neil bonnett red farmer, all started at hialeah, medley, hollywood, and moroso tracks.also the griffins, bob brack, bill flingos, larry rogero, mel payne, , davey-o,the great racecar and engine builder bill barlow, bobby day. we all grew up in hialeah
