I went to visit my good friend Cat in the hospital today at lunch. Considering that a week-and-a-half ago, she was in ICU after a head-on accident that claimed the lives of her husband and the driver of the car that hit them, she's looking pretty good. In fact, I think she's looking beautiful. My "30 minute lunch visit" turned into an hour-and-a-half visit, but she was glad for the company. She is frustrated with being stuck in the hospital, and she is ready to get into rehab and learn how to walk again so that she can move on with her life. Her determination and her spirit are an inspiration to me, and I treasure her friendship greatly.
