They Wore Red

After posting my PaD yesterday (Saturday) my DD and I went
to Balboa Park looking for things to photograph that were
backlit for the current DPChallenge. Then we came across this
wonderful wedding party, being photographed.

I couldn't resist taking a number of shots, and this is my
favorite. So I'm cheating slightly by posting this as Sunday's
PaD when it was actually taken Saturday. So sue me! lol

smart move to desat all but the people . . I didn't even raeally NOTICE the B&W until I looked at this for the third time (that proves the b/g was not important) . .nicely done . . .for BOTH you & the Bride! =]

(My attorney will be in touch.) Well I won't tell on you if you don't rat me out the couple of times I've cheated and not taken the picture within the exact 24 hour time period. Love the wine red, and the follow-up. They make quite striking pictures. The only wedding I ever served in as a bridesmaid I was stuck with tweety-bird yellow. Yech!

The background being b&w (what wonderful textures to be seen in it) makes for popping those beautiful garnet-hued dresses.. Beautiful work Gary. What's a DD?

Nice selective desat. Could you take any off the bottom? Looks like a lotta space in front. That's one large party! Hope the guy on our right is only sneezing :)

I made a mistake here, Gary, sory, I was thinking about someone else on pbase who has his wedding in those days and health problems. Probabely missed some of the text here at the beginning. A nice wedding shot here, depsite of the new houseband being too tall in the line.

They are not in harmony there, that tall guy in the center should be smaller, to high up for this row of people. You should cut the head to harmonize the skyline, hehe. Congratualations for the wedding, Gary, hope also your health problems to be resolved soon.
