Sweet 16

My daughter's 16th birthday looms in a few months. All she can talk about
is getting her driver's license and a car. Not this car, mind you -- a real car.
Well, not even a car. She wants a TRUCK. A BIG truck. With a lift kit. This is
a kid who's barely 100 pounds soaking wet! And, of course, she wants a
cell phone. Oh yes, and an iPod, and a computer, and...and...and...

But most of all, she can almost TASTE her freedom once she can drive. How
I remember that longing, and that incredible, sweet ecstacy that comes with
a set of car keys.

First of all, congrats on being able to remember that far back, hehehehehe. Oh to be so young again, so many things I would do differently. Ever hear the new Kenny Chesney song "There goes my life" What a great song, I get tears when I listen to it, brings back the emotions I felt when my daughter left for Va. Beach. Her independence took her right out of the state.

VERY cool shot! I didn't get my licence until I was older - in my late 20's ... and I did a drivers ed class, so as to get a deal on my insurance. So, it was me and a bunch of 15 year old guys in the class. What can I say ...!

About your photo, Gary, it is incredible. Great lighting and so clear shoot. abgout the story, is great. To me there are some year before start thinking on that. My son is just 10 and my daugther is just 8, eventhough she wants a cell phone too!!!

I always make sure I have my cell phone when I get in my car... it's been invaluable in the few times I've had car troubles :) Great shot!

I don't know if it's just a mother thing, but I have not slept a completely sound sleep since my kids started to drive. Just warning you :)
