This cross is made from three unrelated pieces. The Base is ninth century, the head is twelfh century and the centre piece is twentieth century concrete. The later cross was shown in early drawings with a short shaft. The earlier one would have had a fairly plain cross and the main decoration was on the base which is now badly weathered.
