Sacristy at Monaincha

Roscrea / Co. Tipperary

The Sacristy was a 16th Century addition to the 12th Century building. It was built in the traditional Irish way of making arches. The mortar and stone was laid on a frame of wattles. The shape of the wattles can still be seen in the roof.
