One of the first photos I took with my new digital SLR setup (*) was of my mother. I came back to New Zealand from my studies in the U.S. to see her, because her cancer had reappeared. She was very happy to see me, and of course, I was really happy to see her again too!

(*) I brought a Canon 300D from the ex-boyfriend of a good friend of mine. He was kind enough to also sell me the 85mm 1.8 at a very good price.
