The stories those eyes could tell. My first thought was, hmm, 2005, is the child still alive? then, what other horrors have these eyes witnessed since then? This image truly makes one care about this child. One sees a calmness in that face, the calm that comes from loving parents and a firm belief in Islam. I have seen that expression of calm throughout every horror so often ... Never so much as during the Gaza slaughter last year.
