12/28/04 - SP

There was some interesting sunset sunlight in my "studio", so I thought I'd try out my new TV viewing setup for my camera (photo later) and see if I could get a few SPs where I don't look quite so severe as most of my others. This is one of the results.

PS - Minor crop and level adjustment; a little cosmetic cloning to remove dark shadow where eyeglass nosepiece was; made duplicate layer and apply GB/45; erase area over eyes; tweak contrast a couple of points; desaturate; dowwnres, frame, sign.

I really like the lighting in this picture but I think it's the DOF that really makes it. The detail in the eye is fantastic! Just My humble, nonphotographer opinion. (s)

This is a very nice SP Dennis. I think you did a wonderful job with the PS edits. The background is just fantastic, really adding the 3D look to the image. Well done

This is an awesome self-portray. I love the softness that is in this picture and yet at the same time the background gives it that harder edge. Very nice composed and the lighting is perfect!

Excellent SP, Dennis.. I like how it's perfectly symmetric to the other half of the frame.. I like the lighting as well..
