Lal-wa-Sarjangal, Afghanistan

First full day in Lal (Lal-wa-Sarjangal), Afghanistan. Caught this image while shooting sunflowers in the courtyard of the Lal hospital. Considering the hard-scrabble ground, it's remarkable that these flowers grow so well and so tall. Lots of bits consumed in shots of flowers -- all sunflowers.
