This is an AdobeRGB image it will look FLAT and POOR IN COLOUR on your sRGB web browser - please download the original file and view in Photoshop with proper colour management. It is an unadjusted, original, not resaved, JPEG from the A100. The focus in this shot taken with the 75-300mm kit lens at 100mm, at f6.3, is on the foreground sheep. However, the lens has a slight tendency here to focus further away towards the left hand side of the image, closer towards the right. This may be due to sensor alignment or lens alignment. It is not uncommon in digital SLRs, or with lower cost lenses. The lens displays excellent sharpness where focused, but out of focus bokeh is clearly affected by residual aberrations. Chromatic fringeing is minimal and overall, it's a very usable lens. See the next photo - important - for a change of focus point. Please download both and compare them carefully.
