As I pass beneath the bridge I spy one of the pylon "anchor points" for the massive steel arch. At the
time of its completion (in March of 1932) the SHB was the largest bridge of its design type in the world.
Somehow this anchor point doesn't look substantial enough. I know its been standing for more than
80 years now. I just hope it doesn't fall down while I'm on it.
