The next village to come is Lawson. Its post office lies at an altitude some 30 metres lower than
Bullaburra's. I have never been able to determine what is meant by "The original Blue Mountain" except
that (like Wentworth Falls and Blaxland) it is named after one of the three explorers who first
crossed the "Great Divide" back in 1813.
