Starting from the last image, let's look further down the stem ... now there's something you don't
see every day ... more's the pity. I think I inherited this particular tool set from my father, who
probably acquired it in the 1950s..

Now you're trying to make me cry, aren't you? This used to be a commonly seen stamp on the majority of goods purchased in the US; back when things were made with pride and built to last!
Most everything is being made in China now and much of it is garbage. Appliances have been designed to not last for more than a few years...
I could go on and on, but think it's best I shut my mouth now....
