This is my first decent hummingbird photo! Compared to moose these guys are substantially smaller and faster...so I had some adjusting to do! I watched this little hummer's behavior and noticed he'd fly back and forth to his roost every 10 minutes. So, when he was away, I quietly edged closer and closer to the bush. Soon I was within 6 feet and he seemed to be tolerant of my presence. Perhaps my red plaid shirt helped too. My lucky day!
