I believe this was from last season. I used the Canon G1 with a Hanimex +6 and Quantary +3 closeups, followed by the Tiffen 2x teleconverter. For this image, I shot with 1/250, F8, handheld. I used a 420ex flash mounted on the camera and covered with an Omnibounce diffuser. For postproccessing, I do the typical curve, contrast, and color adjustments, as well as sharpening. For this image, I may have cleaned up some hot spots on the perch and I definately blurred the background just a bit to reduce/remove digital noise. Dragons are one of my favorites bugs to photograph.
