My Town from Above

texas

ok no close up here! at the forefront of this shot is the main road running thru town. Older store fronts and newer store fronts. On the right side of the shot is our favorite breakfast and dinner spot, eggs and biscuits for breakfast and good old fashion fried chicken and vegetables for dinner. The far off skyline is North of town and where all the major traffic is. I must drive up and down this street at least 6 times a day.

dfw is big, but this is a very small area that sits right smack dab in the middle of dallas, but isn't part of the city of dallas. we have our own schools and emergency services, water etc. it's own little municipality. I could have aimed to the left and gotten the skyline of dallas, but I don't go downtown much, just to get my flowers for the yard. The area in this shot has just about every kind of business I need to keep the family running, including the famous burger joint and corner texaco.

Dallas Fort Worth, wow that's famous init:-)I think Stevie Ray Vaughn was from around those parts. This has really given me an insight, thanks Melissa:-)

hey rich,
you know it is funny, having lived here my whole life I had to really study this picture to be sure what was what. I had gone to the top level of a 4 level garage and it was a little creepy being up there and then hanging over the side to try to get something worth showing. With all that said it is right smack dab in the middle of Dallas. This is a small community and the buildings are just in the most northwestern corner that has been built up with a ton of office buildings.

Rich I reckon judging by the distance of the city from Texas that it must be Boston:-)

:-) I must admit I do have frequent opportunities at my age to have long rests between jobs. This job will last until the end of June & then I have to see if the boss wins another contract. I'm happy which ever way it goes but I have to make sure I get me 20D before I'm on the scrapheap of life again:-) Mereana said to tell you that it's me who gets looked after:-) I do too:-)
