Yeah you made sense. It is a nicely composed pic. Although I do think that you were ripped off and should have gone for the Kat kit - not the ruler kit.

Oh the 300D kit does not come with a cat, instead the camera comes with a ruler. Just kidding! The nose and everthing behind the ears are intentionally blur out, it is f2.0 afterall. I thought a self center cat will draw attention to their eyes as they are the windows to the soul. And the cat posiiton in the frame offset the self centerness. Am I making sense? Anyway, back to more shooting.

Ah, but it's the eyes that show the personality of the person/animal. The softer nose doesn't bother me at all. The sharpness of the eyes is important.

I can see us getting into a debate as to what counts as off-center. Is it when the subject isn't the *main* subject because it is off to one-side. Does a photo with only one subject count? I'm not making the decision but the cat is definitely off to one side so I guess it counts! Nice picture - concur with Gayle re: sharp nose. Paul Donovan.

Is this the Canon cat you get with the 300D Kat-Kit? Nice photo, would have liked to see his nose a little sharper though.
