Every year in Austin, we celebrate Eeyore's birthday. People are encouraged to dress up (or in some cases down), mill around, and have a good time. One thing always present is drum circles. This year, there was a large drum circle and a small one. At the small circle, the drummers surrounded a piece of plastic laid down on the grass. This piece of plastic served as a stage for people to dance on. One of the dancers began dancing for this little girl, and she got shy and sought refuge in this safe "furniture" (parents have long been considered furniture for their children in my family). The father, being in the drum circle, simply used her as a drum.
