Dearest Trav: Please don't take this retort too seriously, but ... First, I'd never hold anything against someone based on their grammar or spelling. Then, I wonder why you're telling me/comparing this pic to Bob's and CameraShy's (and even mine), when it isn't anything like them. Please, critique this pic for what it is, not compared to two (or three) others that don't relate. This is a straight forward shot of my reflection waving (bound to be darker than looking straight on), shot into my pond. Nothing "treated" about it except it's upside down and my "actual" image is cropped out except for my lower legs, and ... I am smiling. Warm fuzzies, -mikey
Dearest Mikey: Please forgive the spelling and gramar in the previous post. Be That as it may...The Lama image is alive with movement, action and good spirits...this is darker, and while it may be more creative...does that make it better? I think that MelBob took his Tux shot and played with it so much that it lost for me the feeling that it initially conveyed, which I liked very much. I think the same is true of CameraShy's re-do also.
So all of these left me pondering, especially with portraits, maybe less is more as the classic phrase goes. I think that that's what I was trying to get at. Best Wishes, Traveller
I know that you probably like this Mikey, but I really love the Lama image. Wamr and human and with a story....great smile on you, almost a laugh. Best Wishes, Traveller
