Thanks, Gayle for the comment. I've always have that problem with monitors not being equal. I always send my photos to friends at work and they all look different based on how the display monitor is configured (brightness/contrast). There seem to be no way around it as long as monitors are calibrated differently. Anyway, thanks for the kind words. Regards.
This is a really, really good macro and that's high praise from someone who easily gets tired of looking at macro flower/insect shots.
On my LCD monitor at home, it looks fine but on my work CRT monitor, it looks as though it could do with just a minor contrast tweak.

Thanks for the comment, Vikas. I didn't use a tripod but I used a camcorder supporter that also fits for the camera - the one the hangs around the neck with a short monopod in the middle. I find this more suitable and more agile for macro shots. Thanks again.
Love the DOF and the colours. f/18....did you shoot this on a tripod? Cheers, Vikas.

Thanks for the comments, folks - I appreciate it. Alexeig, I see your point about the angle of shot to show more of the flower. The reason I opted for this angle is to avoid the other flowers and the ground as I wanted to have the sky as the only background. In my opinion this angle also emphasized wha't in-between the 2 wasps (anthers). Thanks again.

Fresh take on the flower and bee theme (although these guys seem to be wasps and not bees). Very nice color and detail!
