This is a nice capture of the mallard with her wings spread. IMO, the background is a bit too bright and busy and competes for attention. Perhaps the image would gain impact if the water were toned down a bit? Also, decreasing the contrast in the background may help.

Armin, I increased the canvas and drew in the missing tip of the mallard.and filled in the blank space at the top with the water...thanks for the comment
