Between Lives (*)

Bellingham, WA

This building in on the site of the former Georgia Pacific paper plant in Bellingham. It is one of the buildings that may be saved and restored as the site is redeveloped by the Port of Bellingham. The Port recently purchased this land for the cost of cleaning it up and plans to develop it for public and private use.

I recompressed this and it is just a tad over... can I leave it?

Good noticing gang... yes, it was in Adobe RGB. I changed it to sRGB.

Ah, back to its original bright color again - much better! By the way, 'gang' - that would be me. It seems I'm the only one who has left any comments on this (including the anonymous one below).

Aha! I think the culprit with the dull colors has to do with the fact that this is really in AdobeRGB color space. Did you shoot in AdobeRGB and forget to convert to sRGB?

Ann this is not over 153600 bytes so it is OK size-wise, but I think you lost something when compressing. If memory serves, the other version had more contrast and color and this one is a bit dull in comparison?

Photographically, this is a much stronger image than the first one you had up from the same site.
