Muret Airfield near Toulouse, France

I do consider this to be the best of the three pictures myself too
and not the least important reason therefore is the wing angle of the aircraft fitting perfectly into the diagonal composition;
but then, on the other hand, I do like the "series of three" as such.

Agreed, this is the better composition. For reasons you and others mentioned, plus: The smoke trails clearly mark a tumbling path, but the aircraft appears well under control, with a normal flight attitude. I like that contrast. Nice. --Joe

I sense a trend here...I think this is the best, too. The smoke trail going across the frame is more dynamic that the other versions, and it almost has a 3-D effect with the plane coming out of the frame toward the viewer. Great work!
