This stretch of sand along the banks of the Darling River at North Bourke is referred to by the locals as North Bondi beach. It is a popular swimming spot during the hot summer months and is one of the few spots in the river with a sandy bottom. The local council provides bar-b-q facilities and a shelter shed at the spot together with a boat launching track.
