01-APR-2004 April Fool's

01 APR 04

I know Ray asked us to come up with an April Fools idea . . .

I just couldn’t.

I even asked people at work for ideas . . .we were just WAY to busy today for anyone to be bothered with my blithering little ideas for PaD.

I feel like I need a “Linda” entry here so please bear with me . . .

I am sooo exhausted I felt totally whipped before I ever even GOT to yoga (that’s me, whipped in yoga . .No smart remarks . . YOU know who you are!!)

A number of you know first hand how the military is very precise (and anal retentive) on getting things ready for an INSPECTION.

Well the infection control in a healthcare setting is triple that . .
We have books on how to read the books that address this subject.
WE ALSO HAVE A BIG INSPECTION COMING UP

Soooooooooooooooooooo

We spent the whole day ridding the clinic of every bit of dihydrogen monoxide . .
every product every location, everything it has or could touch. And trust me that’s almost everything in this sort of setting . .

and if it is in a military dental setting I can GUARANTEE you it’s in yours . . .

It is used as an industrial solvent and coolant, and can be found in almost everything we use dentally. Other dangers associated with the chemical included accelerated corrosion and rusting, severe burns, and death from inhalation. So we had to get rid of ALL of it & it took forever & I’m totally beat.
Maybe I’ll have a better PaD tomorrow

G’Nite ya’all

I knew you were making it up! Dihydrogen monoxide, indeed!!!
Nice idea, though!
Hope you enjoyed the whipping...!

You fool LOL!!!!!
brother_mark02-Apr-2004 17:42
Aaaah. I should have written down the formula for the chemical. Though I was more taken by all the details of your cleaning it up....My H20 has Pb in it. Amazing, I had to check the symbol, but I was right. What a memory! Cool photo.

Ha! Fantastic shot - I love yoga! I record some yoga programs from the tube (because I can't get away....AHHHHHH!) and really enjoy them...when I do them. In the meantime, thank goodness for getting rid of that dihydrogen monoxide...lol! We had a big stink here in my area over the stuff - our city council was prepared to city-wide warnings, massive crack-downs, radio and television advisories, thousands and thousands of dollars were being pulled off the already-strained budget to get ready for the emergency. Oh the horrors!

That DMHO. Where to get rid of it? I once tried mixing it with hops but it made me feel all funny in the head....
Lara S02-Apr-2004 04:16
where did you get rid of it? LOL
Guest 02-Apr-2004 03:26
Love it!
Guest 02-Apr-2004 03:25
Good luck on the inspection. Hope you pass with flying colors.

I love the perspective here. Try it again, but in a more controlled setting. I think this has a lot of possibilities.
Anna Yu02-Apr-2004 03:24
Now that is what I call dedication, doing yoga with your camera beside you the the DMHO in the background. Good work!

Rob Philip02-Apr-2004 01:54
Got to watch out for that nasty Dihydrogen Monoxide. Sneaky stuff. I think I'll go have a glass right now ;)
Guest 02-Apr-2004 01:54
I like his enormous hand and his wee little body!!
Robin Reid02-Apr-2004 01:48
And secondly.. this is a good shot and (or but) he dooesn't look very relaxed or centered does he?
Robin Reid02-Apr-2004 01:47
Well lots to say here. For openers your comments drove me to Google the topic of Dihydrogen Monoxide, and I found out that "...
Dihydrogen Monoxide (DHMO) is a colorless and odorless chemical compound, also referred to by some as Dihydrogen Oxide, Hydrogen Hydroxide, Hydronium Hydroxide, or simply Hydric acid. Its basis is the unstable radical Hydroxide, the components of which are found in a number of caustic, explosive and poisonous compounds such as Sulfuric Acid, Nitroglycerine and Ethyl Alcohol....."
Gosh I was feeling so much better before reading all this. But, any how, sounds like you had a huge day chasing DMHO. Thanks for clueing us all in.

Pete..first I have the greatest admiration for you, the stress of inspections, patient care, yoga (which I have tried and found myself in tears of laughter in class) and a PAD. I like this in Blk/White.
