Family portrait

We went to a lovely old restaurant in Victoria a couple of weeks ago
and they sat us upstairs in a dark wooded room with mainly window light
coming in. I sat my S50 on small tripod and took this.
Lizzy and I weren't nearly as serious as we look :o)

Great shot which proves that having a Nikon does not per se make one a photographer, this shows what a small p&s camera can do in the hands of a skilled person :-)

Contermporary version of American Gothic? lol

I like this. It reminds me of old photos. No one ever smiled in those. I suppose photography was considered very serious.

Hope this one ends up in the family room Cliff. You've caught wonderful light, and the perfect experssions. I'll bet you all cracked up after the shot.

I like the lighting and creative pose to this portrait. Interesting balance to the image with two serious bookends and a radient flower in the middle. ;) Nicely done.

I like the shadows in this image and of course the togetherness of family, a very warm portray.

Very enjoyable and humorous, stylish family portrait. Your daughter's expression is priceless and absolutely fundamental for the whole effect of the scene and the shadows and all. I love it!
